Marc Martin-Casas, Ph.D.

Marc focuses on building and investing in early-stage genomics startups, as well as fostering an ecosystem of expertise and resources to accelerate value creation for portfolio companies. Prior, he ran Illumina Accelerator, US, where he helped build over 20 pre-seed and seed-stage breakthrough genomic startups across therapeutics, diagnostics, and tools. Prior, Marc was President at Biotech Connection – Bay Area, an incorporated nonprofit accelerating innovation by bringing together academic scientists, entrepreneurs, and investors. Previously, Marc was in the life science investment team at Lam Research Capital. Marc earned his Ph.D. in Computational Biology from the University of California, Berkeley.
