Charles White, Ph.D.

Charles is a Senior Associate at Illumina Ventures based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Before joining the team, he worked as a Life Sciences Consultant at Putnam Associates, where he advised biotech and pharmaceutical companies on strategic decisions across diverse areas such as market research, demand forecasting, and M&A strategy. Charles earned his Ph.D. from the University of California, San Francisco where he studied the biochemical mechanisms underlying age-related regenerative decline in the mammalian brain in the lab of Dr. Saul Villeda. While pursuing his degree, Charles also worked with Biotech Connection Bay Area, where he coordinated networking and professional development events for graduate students and postdocs in the Bay Area. Before his Ph.D., Charles completed a dual B.S. in Biotechnology and Biochemistry at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
