Donal Delaney

Donal’s background includes a mix of venture capital, venture debt, public accounting, corporate controller and financial systems experience. Before joining Illumina Ventures, Donal was Chief Financial Officer at Pinnacle Ventures a venture capital and venture debt firm. Donal was responsible for financial reporting, fund operations and LP communications. Prior to that role, he was the corporate controller at SVB Financial Group, a financial services company focused on serving emerging, growth and established technology companies and the life science and private equity markets.

During that time, Donal was responsible for corporate accounting, corporate taxes and external financial reporting, including reporting to the Securities and Exchange Commission. Before joining SVB Financial Group, Donal was an auditor with both KPMG and Ernst & Young. Donal has a Bachelor in Management degree from Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland and has been a California CPA since 1997.
